Diaphragm Seal & Schaffer Pressure Gauges

Diaphragm Seal and Schaffer pressure gauges are suitable for pressure measurement where the medium may be a viscous fluid or a fluids with suspended solids present. These gauges are available in a variety of different styles, sizes and materials.

Diaphragm Seal Pressure Gauges

The fitting of a diaphragm seal unit to a pressure gauge is recommended where the medium to be measured is highly viscous or contains suspended solids or is potentially corrosive to the Bourdon tube.

Diaphragm seal units are available in a variety of styles and sizes and can be fitted to a wide range of pressure gauges.

Schaffer Pressure Gauge

Schaffer gauges are designed for measuring the pressure and vacuum of substances which should not be handled by Bourdon tube instruments. The measuring element is a metallic diaphragm, connected from the top surface by a rod with a ball joint to an adjustable movement.

These gauges should not be used on pressures over 25 bar, or on pulsation - for such conditions a diaphragm seal unit should be used.
